Every year, as summer gives way in the autumn, the Puy-en-Velay travels back in time and returns to the Renaissance during the Renaissance Festivals of the King and The Bird. During a weekend (the 3rd of September), the historic heart of Puy-en-Velay comes alive to the sound of a popular festival and takes its medieval colours. The reason for all this? An old archery competition that once moved the crowds. While the archery competition remains one of the highlights of this Renaissance weekend, it is only a small part of it.

We Love Camping
