A small, charming campsite in the south of the Ardèche, this 3-star campsite in the heart of nature offers peaceful family holidays, just a stone’s throw from the banks of the Ardèche river.

Just a few minutes from the Gorges de l’Ardèche and the Pont d’Arc, in a privileged Natura 2000 listed environment in Chauzon, Camping Le Coin Charmant is entirely dedicated to your family holidays, in the heart of the tourist sites, between Balazuc (listed village) and Ruoms, 12 km from Vallon Pont d’Arc.

A great alternative for nature holidays, exploring the Ardèche, sport and relaxation with family and friends.

Set in 3.7 hectares of wooded countryside, you’ll settle in comfortably to enjoy the peace and quiet of this privileged environment.

At Le Coin Charmant campsite, you’ll be sheltered in the shade of the tall trees, next to the pleasures of the river, where every year the owners do their utmost to offer you a little piece of paradise.

For camping enthusiasts, the 56 camping pitches, most of which are shaded, welcome tents, caravans and motor homes.
Some of the pitches are bordered by hedges, others are open to each other, all overlooked by tall trees that are home to birds, squirrels and cicadas… with direct access to the river where frogs, ducks and beavers live side by side…
To ensure that you are allocated a pitch that is suitable for your installation, please state the correct dimensions of your tent, caravan or camper van when you make your reservation.

Your pitch is available from 2pm. It must be vacated by midday on the day of your departure.
Electrical connections (10A) and water points are available on the campsite.

An adaptor and extension lead are recommended (available on loan from campsite reception, subject to availability).

Two toilet blocks are available.

You can hire a fridge directly on your pitch.

Take a seat on the terrace and, why not, enjoy some delicious home-made pizzas from the “Little Green Truck”…

Games – Competitions
At the beginning of the week, you can take advantage of the Bingo to win lots of prizes, including a trip down the Ardèche river, an accrobranche park, a museum, castles and lots more… Not forgetting local produce.

Ping-pong tables and football goals are available for the enjoyment of young and old alike!
Elliptical bikes are also available for a bit of exercise between two ice creams…

For a convivial moment between campers, sports events can be shown on the big screen and why not play table football on the snack bar terrace…

The essential game of boules: pétanque
The petanque courts (floodlit in the evening) are a cult venue on the campsite, where holidaymakers meet and make friends.
In July and August, a pétanque tournament is organised once a week.
Everyone can take part, whatever their level or age. Family atmosphere guaranteed!

Children’s corner
Under their parents’ supervision and responsibility, the little ones can have fun in the children’s play area specially reserved for them, and make some new friends while they’re on holiday!

Theme meals

The campsite offers themed meals once a week.
This is an opportunity to taste dishes with unexpected flavours and to break with the routine of the dishes usually on offer.

Outdoor activities
Cradled by the river, the Ardèche offers you its colours, its sunshine and its landscapes.
Take a canoe trip down the Ardèche and feast your eyes on these magnificent wild landscapes.
Climb the Cirque de Gens, 2 km from the campsite, and don’t forget the water sports: canyoning on the Chassezac or the Bésorgues.
Try your hand at potholing, paragliding, the Via Ferrata at the Pont du Diable, angling and even paddle-boarding directly below the campsite…
Not forgetting the multitude of footpaths and mountain bike trails in the surrounding area, accompanied by the song of the cicadas.

Come and train on the roads of the legendary “L’Ardéchoise” cycle race, which we host.
For a more leisurely outing, take your bike or electric bike along the “Via Ardèche” greenway linking Vogüé, Ruoms and Vallon Pont d’Arc, or take the back roads to visit the region’s typical villages.

Canoeing / kayaking
Take a trip down the famous Ardèche Gorges, passing under the Pont d’Arc, where you’ll find some magnificent sites to enjoy a picnic, a swim or a bivouac. It’s a complete change of scenery.
The 6km “mini descent” takes you below the Pont d’Arc, while the “grande descente” takes you through the entire Gorges.
Or take the 11km descent from Lanas and the 8km descent from Balazuc, take a break and discover this magnificent village.

Canyoning
Swimming down a river, using the natural slides carved out of the limestone by the river, jumping and climbing your way through tranquil, superb stretches of water.
It’s a unique way to discover the canyon from the top of the river, and an unforgettable experience!
A state-certified guide will take you on this journey through the water.

Fishing
A fisherman’s paradise, the River Ardèche has plenty of good spots for stalking predators (large perch and a few pike), as well as prized species such as shad, eel, pike-perch and carp. Beginner anglers can also try their hand at fishing for whitefish.
The Ardèche basin is a major catchment area, collecting all the water from the Cévenne ardéchoise and some of the water diverted from the upper Loire basin.
