The campsites in France and Europe listed on We Love Camping are particularly suitable for campers or caravaners, whether in tents, caravans or motorhomes. All of these campsites have two thirds bare pitches which can accommodate all types of vehicles. These campsites cater for everyone’s wishes. Some are close to a town centre, others are by a river or nestled in the mountains. There are even campsites by the sea.

The site includes campsites of all categories that will appeal to everyone. You will find 1 and 2 star campsites as well as 5 star campsites with a wide range of facilities. If you prefer a quiet and natural holiday, some of the campsites on the site are nestled in exceptional settings, bathed in serenity. Others, on the other hand, offer a rich programme of activities or entertainment for the whole family. So there is something for everyone.

Small campsites and large estates

The same goes for the size. The site presents both small campsites with about ten pitches and large campsites with several hundred pitches. Each with its own advantages.

All the campsites listed on this site have a minimum of two thirds of touring pitches. So there is no risk of finding yourself with your caravan in the middle of a mobile home park. Here you will find other enthusiastic campers with whom you can share your good addresses and good times over an aperitif or on the petanque pitch. These pitches are designed for caravans, tents or motorhomes. Some campsites, however, also offer high comfort pitches with additional options and sometimes even individual sanitary facilities. This eco-responsible association brings together independent campsites with less than 120 pitches that place people and the environment at the heart of their commitment.

In addition to the friendly atmosphere that reigns on these campsites, their philosophy can be summed up in a few points:

• to offer you preserved sites and accommodation that is integrated into the landscape
• to reduce the environmental impact as much as possible
• to encourage the discovery of the local fauna and flora
• to discover local customs through folklore or gastronomy
• promote local employment by highlighting the region’s craftsmen
• encourage soft means of transport such as bicycles and electric vehicles
• to preserve living spaces for the local fauna on the campsite, in collaboration with associations such as the LPO (Ligue de Protection des Oiseaux – French RSPB)

Situated in the heart of magnificent landscapes, among the mountains of the Alps or the Pyrenees, in the Périgord, the Vosges or the Morvan, in the Gorges of the Tarn or the Jonte, etc., the Via Natura campsites offer you a camping holiday close to nature.

Campsites with at least 2/3 of camping pitches

On this site, we have kept only campsites with a maximum of a third of pitches occupied by mobile homes or cottages. Leaving two third of the places for caravans, tents and motorhomes. On the presentation pages of each of these campsites, the rentals are therefore forgotten. On the other hand, we bring as much detail as possible to the camping part, the camping pitches and the toilets. Is the soil too hard for tent pegs ? Is there paper in the toilets? or can I park with my double-axing caravan? are all questions that will be answered on this site.

Preserve the spirit of camping

The purpose of this site is to introduce you to establishments where the “camping” spirit lives on. A certain idea of old-age camping that doesn’t have to blush of stereotypes of aperitifs with friends, a game of petanque or a nap in the shade of a tree. However, you will find all types of campsites on this site. Some motorcaravaners or caravanners enjoy very simple campsites, without water parks or recreational facilities. Others, however, go on holiday with their children and look for those water slides that the youngest are so fond of. Similarly, if you can enjoy the calm of a campsite nestled in nature, away from any noise, there are also motorhomes owners who like to stay close to a village or a city center in order to be able to visit or go to the market without having to move their vehicle. So, to meet everyone’s desires, we have added no other selection criteria than having more than 2/3 of camping pitches. However, we offer as descriptive sheets as possible so that everyone finds the campsite that will meet their desires.
