The Etang des Forges campsite is located on the edge of a pond in a preserved area. Close to the city (on foot or by bike), very interesting old town with the citadel and the lion of Belfort (favourite monument of the French in 2020!). The strong points : clean and calm, at the gateway to the Southern Vosges (ballon d’Alsace, Planche des Belles filles), Alsace (40 minutes from COLMAR), Switzerland (French-speaking Swiss Jura), family cycling paradise (com com com classified as “Territoire vélo”, 65km of cycle paths starting from the campsite, connection with Eurovélo 6, campsite with the “Accueil Vélo” label, classic bike hire and electric assistance, snack bar and swimming pool in summer.
The campsite is flat, with little vegetation between the pitches. Part of the pitches are on the lake shores. Motorhome are usually set up on the gravel covered driveway. The diversity of the sizes of the pitches allows the campsite to adapt the offer according to the customer needs (small tents, caravans, vans, large camper vans).

In high season, you can sign up to visit an old wheat mill, a fish farm (carp breeding for the typical dish of the region, carp frying), the agricultural museum of Botans, punctuated by a tasting of a traditional cake (“le toutché”) accompanied by a thirst-quenching drink made from plants from the garden, follow the circuit in the old town where you can discover all the lions sculpted on the facade. On reservation, the campsite offers you a minibus trip with your bicycle on the most beautiful sections of the Eurovélo 6 , or in the valleys near the Ballon d’Alsace.
