Situated on the banks of the Dordogne, the camping village du port is 4 hectares of greenery, orchards, animal pens, vegetable garden, an intimate place that tells the story of the life of our family, who have lived here since 1898.
The farm has stood the test of time, always valuing nature and all it has to offer. Today, the charming barn has been magnificently converted into a meeting place, offering a fine selection of wines and local produce that you can eat in or take away.
It’s also the place where every evening, under the glow of lanterns, the braziers ignite to exchange a few good ideas around a fire or to taste the small dishes prepared by our favourite food trucks who share our space, all summer long in a bucolic setting.
For added well-being, a massage room, sauna and whirlpool bath have also been set up in the farm buildings.
On the practical side, children can run around in the early hours of the morning to collect their bread from reception.
Just 800 m from the campsite, the village square offers a grocery shop, pizzeria, restaurant, tobacconist, newsagent and mini-market, not forgetting the incredible butcher… You can also get there on foot; a small path from the campsite takes you there.
Of course, it’s the sanitary facilities that you’ll appreciate most when you’re a camper: brand new sanitary facilities equipped with toilets, children’s toilets and washbasins, children’s toilets, family showers, hairdryers – everything you need for the comfort of a real bathroom, just like at home. Set in the orchard, the pitches at the “Chez Sophie” campsite are bordered by vegetation or small wooden structures. The site is flat, and access to the pitches is via carts, which are available to customers to ensure peace and quiet and the most natural of landscapes.
Caravans and other equipment are accepted, with pitches reserved for motorhomes in keeping with the campsite’s commitment to the environment.
Nature bivouac pitches by the river are free and without access to electricity, reserved for tents.

in summer, on the way to the sanitary facilities, you can enjoy a cherry tomato from the vegetable garden or chop a few aromatic herbs for grilling around the brazier!
not forgetting the weekly fishing course on the campsite beach.
It’s a peaceful life here, and everything on the campsite can be done on foot or by bike. There’s a small path leading to the village square, where you can meet the butcher and the grocer, and in the evening you can share a glass of local wine at the campsite wine bar under the lanterns and the heat of the braziers.
