Campsite Via Natura d’Arpheuilles is a lovely 3-star campsite, located in the Rhône Alpes region (Loire department). This 3-star campsite is located in the Loire gorges, with its feet in the water, a few kilometres from the Auvergne and Burgundy regions. At the gateway to the South of France on the road to the Ardèche and the Drôme Provençale, come and discover a magical place where the Loire River flows into Lake Villerest, a campsite in the heart of the Loire!
The nature that borders this campsite is beautiful and wild. A wide range of activities are on offer: heated swimming pool, fine sandy beach by the lake, children’s club, mini golf, city park, hiking, canoe hire, etc.

The 3-star Via Natura Arpheuilles campsite offers you pitches in the Loire from 80 m² to 120 m² flat, terraced pitches on a 3-hectare site in the heart of nature with direct access from the campsite to the Villerest lake, a 3-star campsite in the heart of the Loire department.
The campsite offers you many pitches with a unique view of the Loire while enjoying a beautiful sunset. The sunny pitches “on the road to the sun”, semi-shaded and completely shaded allow you to satisfy everyone’s desires.
* In low season the snack bar / bar is open every weekend.
Canoes can be rented within the campsite for 8€ per day. You can take a canoe trip and visit the Château de Roche. Many walks are proposed to you as well as magnificent typical villages of our region.
Visits to major cities
1/Roanne, 30 minutes away, is the largest town close to the campsite.
Roanne is the ideal city for a city break close to nature. Its old centre with southern accents, offers beautiful buildings with colourful facades.
2/Lyon at 1 hour from your site.
Lyon, a French city in the historic Rhône-Alpes region, is located at the junction of the Rhône and the Saône rivers. Its centre bears witness to 2,000 years of history, with its Roman amphitheatre of the Three Gauls, the medieval and Renaissance architecture of Old Lyon and the modernity of the Confluence district on the Presqu’île. Les Traboules, covered passages between the buildings, link Old Lyon to the hill of La Croix-Rousse.

3/Le Crozet :
This medieval town, which became “Village de Caractère” and “Village du Verre” in 2011, contains houses from the 13th, 15th and 16th centuries that bear witness to a rich past. Visitors are charmed by the layout of this quiet and flowery village.
Overlooking the plain of Roanne, Ambierle owes its fame to a Benedictine abbey founded in the Middle Ages. Village of Character established on a promontory (400 m). Priory of the 14th century, church of the 15th century, altarpiece of the Passion of Christ, glazed tile roof.
The Château de la Roche in Saint-Priest-la-Roche
Set on a rocky island surrounded by the waters of the Villerest dam, the Gothic-style château of Saint-Priest-la-Roche forms a splendid, particularly photogenic ensemble.
You can get there from the campsite either by canoe (about 1h15) or by car (15 minutes).
In the castle, there is a new “ESCAPE GAME”.
You will have 60 minutes to get out of the room you are locked in! To do this you will need to use the research, thinking and logical thinking skills of each member of your team.

The imposing Priory of Pommiers has stood the test of time. An open door to the arts, it invites you on a journey through a thousand years of history. The guided tour takes you through the basements, the cloister and the building’s frameworks.
