Located on the Durance hillside for 40 years, the CAMPING ALPES-DE-HAUTE-PROVENCE LITTLE CARPE DIEM fosters calm and relaxation in a family atmosphere amidst century-old olive trees. A place with a remarkable environment where each pitch is a perfect setting for your holiday. Located away from the hamlet “Les Pourcelles”, on the road leading to the Durance canal, nature is everywhere here, under the shade of tall oaks bordering the campsite; or in the old olive groves (where the campsite owners harvest the olives!), there’s no shortage of space to pitch your tent.

* A few pedal strokes away (or with good walking shoes): explore the “Olive Tree Path” starting from the campsite, where fields of some 80,000 sometimes century-old trees give our commune of LES MÉES a recognized and appreciated AOP oil.
* A few minutes by car: the “Lauzon Waterfall”, a waterhole below a bridge and its mill to dip your feet… and more during hot Provençal afternoons. For the curious, the “Buissières icehouse”, a visitable remnant of a historical structure, shows that even in Provence, ice was kept all summer long. – 10 min walk from the Lauzon waterfall
* 30 minutes by car: the “Gorges de Trévans” and their clear waterfall await you on a 2 to 3-hour walk, amidst a landscape of raw beauty, best enjoyed “in the cool”. And of course, the unmissable Gorges du Verdon, Valensole Plateau with its Lavenders, Sisteron, Forcalquier, and Digne-Les-Bains… to discover and rediscover!
