Nissan brings teleworking to the campsite

With Covid, teleworking and living outdoor have never been so popular. To meet this ever-increasing demand for space, Nissan has imagined a real travelling office with a concept van presented at the last Tokyo Motor Show, which took place from 15 to 17 January last.

Named the NV350 Caravan Office Pod Concept, this prototype van for professionals who love the great outdoors, imagined by the Japanese brand, is in vogue. It responds to the desires of a generation that wants to be able to work while travelling.

An expandable office

Designed on the basis of the Nissan NV350 Caravan, the originality of this project is its desk that unfolds in the back of the van thanks to an application on your smartphone. A bit like the extension for vans thought by Beauer that we told you about a few weeks ago. This outdoor workspace includes a chair, a desk and a computer. The floor of this extension is made of transparent polycarbonate before you can see the floor under its feet. A way of anchoring the work in nature. However, the NV350 Caravan Office Pod Concept has not forgotten about relaxation. On its roof there is a beautiful terrace accessible from inside the vehicle.

Let’s hope that when the NV350 Caravan Office Pod Concept arrives on the European market, the Covid pandemic will be a bad memory. The question is whether teleworking will still be popular. If so, there is no doubt that this vehicle will find its audience.

It is because we love traditional camping that we thought of this site. Because we sometimes regret that the rental accommodations now occupy so much space on campsites, we wanted to highlight the sites where tents, caravans and motorhomes are still the majority. And to offer all those who share our love of the outdoor life, a site with travel ideas, technical advice and above all a choice of campsites where it is good to come and put up your caravan or tent.
