Our highlight is the Ain river flowing at the foot of the campsite, with its large trees providing coolness during peak season.
The two swimming pools are open from June until early September, and the restaurant in July and August.
During peak season, an Indian-themed village comes to life, complete with a farm and animals. Activity leaders will introduce children to farm life, pony or carriage rides, and even herding a flock. One evening a week, a storytelling and campfire night will gather the ‘little Indians’.
For adults, horseback riding excursions depart from the campsite to explore the wild nature along the Ain river.
Camping les Plages de l’Ain is only 20 minutes from Lyon, in a region with no shortage of attractions, including Pérouges, the Grottes de la Balme, Brou Monastery, and the Parc des Oiseaux.
