On 19, 20 and 21 August, the 5th French VW Bus Meeting, the largest gathering of Volkswagen Combi vans in France, was held in Chérizet, in Saône-et-Loire, in southern Burgundy. On this occasion, 1,500 Combis of all generations gathered at a campsite set up for the occasion on the banks of a pond. Visitors were welcome to admire the beautiful Combis, mainly from France, but also from Norway, Belgium, Germany and the United Kingdom. And they did not hold back. Some 20,000 visitors passed through the gates of the gathering over the course of three days. The atmosphere was festive, with concerts throughout the weekend and fireworks on Saturday evening. After a fourth edition that had already attracted 1,700 combis, this fifth edition of the French VW Bus Meeting has established itself as the unmissable event for VW combi enthusiasts.
